See people world-wide in video conferences using 37” TV. We have created a world-class video conferencing room using Polycom videoconferencing equipment.
Customers can now place video conference calls over the Internet using the internationally accepted H.323 standard from our video conference room. In addition to video conferencing, users can collaborate in real time by sharing a PC desktop that we provide, as well as obtain a DVD recording of the video conference for later playback. We also provide high speed Internet conections if a customer brings their own laptop and needs Internet access during the video conference.
Video conferencing with Polycom equipment is not like using a Web camera and a PC. Instead, video conferencing uses TVs and the Internet, to give a much more immediate and personal virtual presence. Video conferencing is very, very close to being there in person, at a fraction of the cost and inconvenience of traveling.
In addition to the immediate presence video conferencing provides, the technology also enables the sharing of a PC’s desktop and applications so as to be able to do real-time collaboration. One can work on the same document, spreadsheet, presentation, etc. with someone half a world away at the same time. This is a powerful way to increase personal productivity. Finalizing a document, a spreadsheet, or any other project through a real time, video conference collaboration saves hours of e-mailing back and forth.
Another classic use of video conferencing is interviewing. This can include job interviews, and for attorneys, depositions and hearings. Being able to see, as well as hear, someone adds much more to communication. Body language and facial expressions can “speak” volumes that are only caught in a video conference or in person, but not in a phone call. By using Polycom equipment, video conferencing at goShip.us gives customers a complete communications experience when compared to using a telephone. We believe a telephone call is a blind person's video call.
Our Location. The conference center is at 86 Cedarhurst Avenue, Cedarhurst, NY. It is opposite a large municipal parking lot, and only 2 blocks from the Cedarhurst train station on the Long Island Railroad.

Our Hours. We provide service around-the-clock so as to accommodate customers with video conferences in different time zones. Video conferencing is by appointment. Just let us know when you need it, and we will be happy to accomodate you.
Special Features
Shared desktop. We provide customers with access to a PC that permits them to share the PC desktop and applications during the conference. Customers can display spreadsheets, documents, PowerPoint presentations, etc. during the video conference. This is a great way to work with someone and immediately make changes in a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. Anyone who has to work with very tight deadlines will appreciate the time saved using video conferencing with a shared desktop.
Video broadcasting. A customer can bring a CD or DVD of a movie that they have made and display it to all the participants in their video conference.
Video recording. We can, if you wish, record the video conference and burn a DVD for you for later review or sharing with colleagues who could not attend. This is very useful for attorneys' depositions and for sales and marketing presentations.
